I remember in the late 80s, the local news channel did a feature on a Wiccan coven in the town. I was having dinner with my neighbors (good, church going Presbyterians) were watching it and screaming in horror as the group was showing dancing around a fire. I don’t recall it, but I’m sure they were asked questions like that.

One of the children in the group and shown on TV with her parents went to my primary school and was my age and she was harassed a lot. This is long before I was called to the path myself (and to be fair, my witchcraft still looks nothing like that), but I always made a point to say hello and be kind to her, because no one else did.
