Hearth & Horn

I always prefer to summon. In order to banish something you have to name it in a ritual (head)space, make it more concrete, and depending on how real or material that thing is, you may just have given it some of your mana and possibly made it stronger. This is also why I don't curse. Even just psychologically, it seems like a bad idea.

I also do this when I cleanse things. I call down the energy to fill a thing and let that energy cleanse it. It's a summoning, not a banishing.

But then I'm very haphazard about this sort of thing. I don't have the brain for varied ritual.
