I understand there's more to Wicca than burning candles; but one misses the simple comfort of it. Maybe witchery should be rewritten to center around acts which aren't so often made illegal by landlords. Maybe angering landlords is the whole point.

I have a friend, who for an extended period of time, was on oxygen, and could have no open flames anywhere nearby.

They adapted their practice by employing scented oils over lamp bulb diffusers, and supplemented the aesthetic of candles by using candle-flame LED tea lights; if they needed a particular color of candle, they could easily fashion a piece of cloth in the appropriate color to wrapy the tea light in.
