Date: 6 April 2023 11:51 (UTC)A few months back, I was pointed to this post about the benefits keeping a diary, and that and the link inside of it convinced me to try diarizing each day again. I do it on DW because I found that DW (and formerly LJ) is where I tend to archive and reread things, whereas I may as well burn my paper journals for that which I actually ever revisit them.
That said, I do keep some information private--exactly where I live, who I work for, my son's legal name, etc. And there is the occasional private post that is only for my eyes. But none-the-less, it is a vital resource. I've used LJ/DW for more han 20 years now, and while many of the posts of my younger days feel a bit inane now, even embarrassing, it is the primary portal of my life and when I see the times where I didn't post for months or as long as a year, I now wish I had.
