Gods, Pinterest is such a cancer. Dominates Google results without fail, then refuses to let you see anything; essentially steals material from other artists, redisplaying them without permission or acknowledgement; and refuses to let you save images to hard drive, compelling you to use their own pinboard system instead. Which is fine, but we know from Web history that websites vanish without warning, and I don't want to spend time curating and collecting ideas only for them to evaporate one day.

I hate websites which demand I read their ugly behavior.

Measuring people for clothes fittings is the worst. It's difficult. You've got to find reference points on bodies, like the location of shoulder tip or the right height below the armpit, which aren't intuitive at all. Some people have body variations which mean those areas are all padding, which is even trickier.

I struggle with numbers, if I don't concentrate I read them wrong or they slip from my mind. So I can't really keep a patter going to relax my client.

And the idea of being measured and compared to normative body standards ia stressful or triggering for many people; even people not unduly distressed by it, it's a bit odd standing there being fondled by a stranger.

I guess I'll improve at it over time, but it's hard to know if the pattern doesn't match the body because I measured badly, or incorrectly, or too anxiously, or if there's actually a discrepancy.
