Here's a list of things I can offer  [Visit Services: Seeking for things I hope to find]

With the exception of a couple of paid things, I don't expect a trade: I want to share what I have with others.

Mentoring

I'm very keen to share what I know with new and advancing Pagans - but I feel pretty icky about hierarchical mentor-student relationships. Far, far too open to abuse and power imbalances. Even if I'm the mentor - I don't think it's good to participate in structures which disempower beginners and put them at risk.

I'm much happier to try and create something mutual, where both people learn from each other. Even if you're 100% new and you don't feel you have anything to offer - I can guarantee you've got things to teach.

Mentees: Yes please - so long as you're enthusiastic about working as a team to both learn more, rather than me spoon-feeding you information.

Study partners: Yes please!

Mentees in person:
Possibly. I'm in London. I think a lot about establishing a small study-group. Let's talk.

I stopped Teaching about 15 yrs ago when I finally "got" that our local Pagan community wasn't really interested in Polytheism but how to use Polytheistic material in Duo/Monotheistic Ritual. The biggest "clue" was when one of the local organizers(no Leaders for them;>!) came up to me after one of my workshoppes and said,"Your God/desses are just Aspects, True?". That was the last workshoppe I ran with the locals. Later that yr was our last campout with them because apparently I was being Homophobic(I LUVVVV it when Hets tell a Gay/Les/Bi/T person what they really are...)by complaining that it was in poor taste for 2 of the guys to have sex in the bathroom when half the campgroup was a Cubscout outing. Oddly, I was chastised because I complained to the couple in question and they took it to "The Grande Fromage". As someone who was involved in the Leather community for over 3 decades I'm hardly a Prude. Just ANYONE fkking in front of prepubescent kids is going to get a big thumbs down from me.....
Right now I'm Meditating through the Elder Futhark again using the original Poems(with a couple translations to decrease errors) and continuing to study the local Spirits and trying to find any info on 1st Nations material on them. The biggest difference I'm yet found is that the local Folk's Coyote type Being is Rabbit. The Stories are Interesting because the lessons are taught from a Prey instead of a Predator's POV. They also had/have(not that there's much left around here after The Trail of Tears) an almost Nordic view of Spirits; those of the Human Realm and those that AREN'T. And those that Aren't should be left to Their own Affairs...
Cheers,
Pat(uncovering the plants from the Freeze Warning we had the last couple of nights)
