I'm having a difficult time with my craft projects atm, which are supposed to be my relaxing outlets.

I've made a fantastic Wicker Man-esque cross stitch pattern but sewing it out is absolute hell. I am hating every moment of it. The pattern is on a screen, which isn't great (more computer time, yay); and I'm trying to use "real cloth" not "fabric designed for cross stitching on", but you need to peer and count tiny little holes for it. Finally, Im struggling with thread colour choices - in part because i dont want to get new thread, and the whole process of uncertainty is making it into a stress.

next on the pile is my Winter Queen doll, which is somewhat the same problem in that I have to dress her, and I don't have any real idea how, despite a large folder of source images. I guess i just need to get some fabrics and drape them and belt them but that's another "thinking" hobby rather than a "mindlessly follow the pattern" hobby.

I'm making a 1970s colours blanket, which is fairly brainless, but a bit too brainless, I like a bit more challenge than that. Blehh.
