haptalaon: A calming cup of tea beside an open book (Default)
I'm spending more time on the internet of 10 years ago, replacing my social media browsing time with digging into old pagan blogs - so many of them, gems. Whenever I come across a good article, I save it under a topic & I'll put up that webpage on my site when I'm ready.

I've got together a little cluster of blog posts on Should We Pay Our Clergy, with a whole range of perspectives, so I'm going to share those now - and under the cut, some of my own thoughts on this (tl;dr no we shouldn't)

Debates around Pagan Clergy

Me posting: witchcraft organisations need to be true communities - they need to be built around friendships, they need to be families, networks of care, people who treat each other well and like spending time together

Me ignoring my inbox, ignoring my reading page, ignoring my discord: what is 'emotional availability...?'

Another thing that really stood out to me is that Valiente never drove, and so throughout her biography the author is stressing how many trains and busses and then a long walk she had to take to get to monthly rituals. And I find that very heartening
