My husband has said he's worried about a wooden compost heap box because compost gets quite hot and becomes flammable, which has suggested to me that the corner-point of the elemental system between Fire and Earth is not "wood" (which I got to because the red + the green forms a brown), but compost. A thing of earth that creates heat. That would also fit with the Domains in this area of the Map, the sense of the agricultural.

What an interesting observation. In the system that breaks down the four elements into components, the mid-way point between Fire and Earth is the pure component of Dryness. It consists of all things dying and decaying and breaking down. Compost fits into that slot perfectly in that way too!
