I'm the wrong person to run a beautiful old run-down hotel, though, because if someone visited my shabby weird old building with its little nooks and crannies and strange smells, and chose to be rude about it, I would definitely kill them.

There are films and TV series about why this is a bad idea. See: The Shining, Ghosts (BBC), probably I could name more if I watched horror at all.

I will watch any old rubbish with a haunted house in it.

American Horror Story: Hotel is another. Sigh.
